We wanted to use the typical codes and conventions of social realism title sequences in our own trailer. We took inspiration from Fish Tank and This is England.
We wanted to use big bold text, however, we thought white text against a black background would be too plain and we wanted to include something to anchor our storyline. So we decided to use a white power to act as cocaine to fill the text. We also used Century Gothic text in both our trailer credits and poster for continuity.
