After going out and shooting our main characters for casting pictures and test shots, we decided to use the photo featuring Ross and Emma. We also used a black and white edit to anchor our social realism genre and used the same font that is shown in the trailer. Faded into the background of the poster is a 'Police Road Closed' sign, this was used to suggest that within the narrative there is a disruption due to a dangerous event.
We also used the stereotypical codes and conventions of film posters, such as a large title, main character names, film ratings by a range of British companies, the age rating (which is crucial) and our film production logo.
