Originally, we chose this bass music track throughout our trailer because of our genre and the music teenagers are most likely to listen to, to suit the characters as well as to create the right mood for the party scene.
However, after using audience feedback with a preview of our trailer so far, we found that many of them thought that there was no build up/climax in the score and that there needed to be a greater significance in atmospheric change between the party scene and crash scene.
Because of this, we have decided to use this piece of music as it begins slow and steady with longer shots, then gradually builds up to match the fast cutting shots of the crash. This music can help demonstrate the equilibrium and disruption stages in our narrative. After using more reviews after we made this change, people thought this track was much more effective in portraying the different moods between scenes.
